Waves

Sudden onset sounds (a drum beat, a snapping twig) have a high portion of high frequency components. So, one could think of the universe as an endless interplay of waves, combining in all kinds of ways. But the endless interplay of waves on the surface of the sea doesn’t produce geometrical forms or straight lines, and the infinitely sharp edges of euclidean shapes would require wave frequencies that went to infinity, and infinite energy to produce.

So how did Euclid come up triangles and squares and so on? They don’t occur in nature? (BTW, Euclid was a genius of the absolute highest order.)
