Out for a walk, and found a mama duck and babies. This is Crow Canyon Road, a major surface street. Before COVID-19 there would be heavy traffic. But the Samaritan here stopped and shooed them across, and I was able to walk across the road to the center divide to get a picture.
Just around the bend here, on Feb 24, less than two months ago, a 12 year old girl was killed by a hit and run driver. There is a makeshift memorial just out of view.
I purchased a package of 36 hot dogs while at Costco recently. Serious business — it goes with the peanut butter and jelly I got several days before that. But sadly, the mustard jar is almost empty.

This was the date the Alameda County “Shelter in Place” order came into effect. I thought the situation was potentially serious, but this was the first indication that people in government were actually spooked.
I made a light commitment to take photos every day, mostly walking around the neighborhood. I’ll post some of those pictures over the next few days.
