Things are gonna change/morning after? I have a feeling this song was written during a more hopeful time, and not apropos of bizarre times when men like Kavanaugh would sit on the Supreme Court. Although, come to think of it, the morning after is supposed to be when reality bites.
Helen Ikua The Kavanaugh thing makes me sick, and it’s hard to be hopeful about anything. I do like this song, though 🙂
Helen Ikua By the way, Ray Davies was shot and seriously wounded in a robbery attempt in New Orleans about 15 years ago. I read an interview with him about it — very interesting.
Kent Crispin Yeah, it’s a clever little song. And an Englishman going after muggers in New Orleans is exactly what one would expect. 😀
